The Language

Barrier

This project marked my first branding collaboration with a Thai client. Initially, there were communication challenges due to the language barrier. However, my partner helped bridge the gap and ensure I understood Panuwat's vision for the brand's new look.

While GetMobie already had a logo, it needed a refresh to appear more modern, appealing, and adaptable for various marketing materials. Panuwat desired a classic, memorable, and enduring logo that conveyed the brand's commitment to excellent customer service.

RESEARCH, SKETCHING & FINALIZATION

The initial stage involved researching competitor logos to avoid duplication and stay on-trend. This research took three days, followed by a deep dive into GetMobie's company background and requirements.

Unlike some designers who prefer a dedicated workspace, I find inspiration strikes at any time and place. This allows for a more fluid creative process.

LOGO EXPLAINED

After a bunch of sketches, I finally landed on this logo concept.

See those two circles? They're not just circles, they're people! One's buying a Mobile device, the other's selling – basically doing their thing at a virtual desk (that middle rectangle).
The whole idea is to show how GetMobie makes it easy for people to connect and trade.

I aim to make the logo not only attractive and meaningful but also clearly visible and legible in any size.

TYPOGRAPHY

The chosen typeface, Roobert was focused on readability on different surfaces and sizes. It keeps visual harmony and consistency with the logo.

A well-designed app icon acts as a visual representation of the brand within the digital space. While some apps utilize mascots or abstract designs, GetMobie's icon leverages the strength of its lettermark with a simple and effective contrast – white on a blue background. This ensures easy recognition on various devices and sizes.

Following logo approval, the next step was creating branded items that would solidify GetMobie's visual identity. This included stylish and catchy stickers, one featuring the lettermark and another showcasing the full logo. These stickers serve as a fun and effective way to spread brand awareness.

MOKUPS & VARIATIONS

To clearly demonstrate the logo's versatility, mockups were created showcasing its use in various contexts.
